Both EMDR and MEMI (Multichain Eye Movement Integration) are fabulous treatments for removing distress associated with traumatic memories. Shea's advanced training also allows her to use both modalities to reprogram the brain to create feelings of happiness and overall wellbeing.

EMDR helps the brain reprocess traumatic, "stuck" memories so they are no longer intensely painful, allowing normal healing to occur. It is believed to work by allowing the patient to focus on a traumatic memory while simultaneously experiencing bilateral stimulation, which reduces the emotional charge of the memory.
Before the traumatic memory is thought of, Shea Shulman uses advanced techniques to desensitize the memory in advance without causing an upset to the patient. Shea makes each session gentle as to not retrigger the emotional event in the mind, keeping safety in first place.

MEMI is built on the presuppositions that our human experiences are organized and systematic and all of our experiences have structures associated with context, thoughts, sensory information and feelings that provide dimensions to our state of beings.
During a session using MEMI, Shea Shulman guides the patient's eyes to all locations by following 4 intricate sets of eye movements to allow the reorganization of their brain. This scrambles the traumatic event and create a feeling of peace. Further treatments continue to guide the patient's brain into a new state of well-being and safety.
Both EMDR and MEMI are highly effective and safe. They are highly effective for the following conditions:
